Monitor the exterior of your home, and repair any damage (like rotting shingles or loose mortar) that could let hungry termites come inside. Reduce moisture around your home, and quickly repair any leaking faucets or pipes. If you have a fireplace, store your woodpile at least 20 feet from your home.
